It was a pleasure working with Tim and Select Lending Home Loans during our VA home loan purchase in southern Maryland. Unfortunately we never got the chance to meet in person but Tim went out of his way to keep us up to date on everything while I was away on Military orders and my wife Samantha was working in Pennsylvania and caring for our two kids. Select Lending Home Loans came in with a very competitive interest rate and reasonable closing costs which pulled us away from another lender we had used in the past. The communication between Select Lending Home Loans, Tim specifically, and our real estate agent was fantastic which made the process easy for all parties involved. There was some confusion on the August 5th during our closing regarding the Appraisal and First payment date. My wife and I were under the impression that Select Lending Home Loans were taking care of the appraisal, when that showed differently on the mortgage documents I reached out to Tim and after a brief conversation he let us know he would personally take care of it which was greatly appreciated. We were also expecting based on conversations that the first payment wouldn’t be until October 2024. Instead it was for September 2024, less than a month away. Unfortunately for us we did not have the ability to push the closing to get that corrected due to time constraints with us and the sellers. Overall our experience was great with Select Lending Home Loans and even with the hiccups we were able to close on the date we needed.
